The Good – Bringing The Human Connection into SEO

The Good is an athletic and outdoor oriented company that helps brands connect with their customers in a friendly, respectful manner.

It was founded on April 20, 2009, by Jon MacDonald and Chris Teso and have been featured 3 years in a row in the Portland Business Journal report about Fastest Growing Companies in Portland, with a 98.91% growth over the last 3 years.

Being asked by the Portland Business Journal what are their hopes for the future, CEO Jon MacDonald answered:

“With digital a small team can accomplish big things. So growth for us is not about staff size or revenue, it is more about maintaining a high level of quality work – and not becoming too big to maintain that quality.”

Their portfolio includes local companies, with less known websites on an international level, like: SKLZ, Easton.com, Giro, MasterCraft and Bell Helmets, but also giants like Nike and Adidas.

Amforward – Accessing International Audiences!

Amforward is creating a new concept that will definitely attract clients! They target an international audience who prefers to buy products from the US, instead of different other countries.

The entire process works in the following way: Shoppers get a free or subscription mail-shipping address in a sales-tax free US state. From there, Amforward receives the package and delivers it in the most convenient way, so that shipping taxes are reduced to the minimum.

From an international shopper’s point of view, this is perfect! Quality products can now be acquired without any hassle or from doubtful merchandisers or manufacturers.

At the same time, by packing individually each product and declaring the individual value, instead of the entire order, custom taxes are reduced depending on each country’s policies.

Amforward was founded in August 2011, and has grown ever since, leaving behind strong competitors like usglobalmail.com, shipito.com or getmyusmail.com.

Little Bird – Social Business Intelligence

Getting yourself and you brand known has long passed the era of word-to-mouth. Marketing is becoming a mix between science and art, and it seems that the team at Little Bird has mastered it.

Founded in 2011, by Marshall Kirkpatrick, Little Bird has received funds from totaling more than $3M, from important investors, like the Oregon Angel Fund, Darmesh Shas, Blaine Cook, Social Leverage, and Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks owner.

The latest marketer addition to little bird has been the multi-award winner Carmen Hill. She won various awards with project that included Google Inc, Jive Software Inc and Adobe Systems Inc.

June 19, 2014 has been another day of joy for Marshall Kirkpatrick and his team, as they added sales manager Jessica Rickson.

As a former employee at Monsoon, Stepchange, Jive Software and Jama Software, Jessica has helped sales of software products reach millions of $$$.

Even though it may still be considered a small company, using the $1.7M in funds received in February to create a strong leading team will make Little Bird transform into an Eagle, becoming one of the most successful “Baby Rockets” featured by RocketCompanies.
