This is our weekly update about UK startups that raised funds in the past week.
The companies’ businesses ranged from consumer behavior analysis platform to social video network to fashion rental website.
The funding ranged from £350K to $25M.
First, let us have a look at the companies that secured €500k or less but still have ambitious plans to make a dent in the universe.
GeoGrafi Raised £150k in Growth Funding
GeoGrafi, a Liverpool, UK-based Company, which specialises in geospatial and mapping technologies, recently raised £150k in growth funding.
GeoGrafi delivers products, services and solutions that help businesses capture, create, analyse, and visualize Geospatial Data – data that has or can be located geographically – and get significant value from it.
GeoGrafi has expanded into the supply of equipment and recently acquired MGISS, which is a reseller for a number of geospatial brands. With this investment, MGISS founder Shandley will continue to work in the business alongside Mike Darracott.
Formisimo Raised £350k in Venture Capital
Formisimo, a Manchester, UK-based platform that measures and analyses consumer behavior in online checkouts and online forms, raised £350k in venture capital.
Launched as Beta in May 2013, Formisimo provides a platform that measures and analyses consumer behavior in online checkouts and has tracked more than 380 million customer interactions over 1000 companies.
Formisimo is backed by a syndicate led by AXM Venture Capital led Northwest Fund for Digital & Creative.
Formisimo intends to use the funds to grow the team.
Chic by Choice Raised €500k in Funding
Founded by Filipa Neto and Lara Vidreiro, Chic by Choice, a London, UK-based fashion rental website, raised €500k in funding.
Chic by Choice is a platform for women to access and rent designer dresses shipping to more than 15 European countries
Chic by Choice recently launched a beta website in May 2014.
Chic by Choice serves over 15 European markets including UK, Italy, Germany and France. Rentals cost about 15% of a dress’ retail price.
