Livonia, Mich. – July 13, 2006 – What would you do with $10,000? For most people, the possibilities are endless: pay off your credit card debt, renovate your home, pay your child’s college tuition or take a much-needed vacation. Marilyn McKeon of Middleboro, Mass., has already decided what she would do with that kind of money, since she recently won the Quicken Loans $10,000 Giveaway.

The mother of two teenagers, McKeon plans to use the money wisely; by paying off high-interest credit cards and a student loan and possibly putting some money aside for taxes. In doing this, she hopes to pave the way to homeownership. She and her husband look forward to owning a home one day, and when that time comes, she also will receive a discount on closing costs from Quicken Loans.
From March 27 to May 27, visitors to www.quickenloans.com could instantly win a gift card or movie tickets and were entered to win the $10,000 grand prize. All players also received a $250 discount on closing costs with Quicken Loans on their next mortgage to purchase a home or refinance an existing mortgage. McKeon was one of more than 32,000 entries in the Quicken Loans contest. She was hoping to win a retail gift card and was astonished to learn she’d won the grand prize.

“I still can’t believe I won,” McKeon, 43, said. “When I found out, I called my husband and sister, screaming — we are all ecstatic. This is such an unbelievable opportunity.”

“Our promotion gave participants several ways to ‘win’,” said Bryan Stapp, chief marketing officer for Quicken Loans. “There were retail gift cards and movie tickets, and everyone who entered received a discount on closing costs. Plus, Marilyn and other participants had access to online guides and tools to help them understand what home financing opportunities are available.”

But even though the contest has ended, you can still get helpful information, tips about buying a home and use several different mortgage calculators. Whether you’re planning to purchase a home, refinance your mortgage or just want to learn more about the mortgage process, you can contact Quicken Loans by calling 800-251-9080 or by visiting our Web site, www.quickenloans.com.
