-Unique Benefit Program Includes Discounts and Mortgage Education-
Livonia, Mich. – Dec. 15, 2005 – Quicken Loans Inc., the nation’s largest online mortgage lender, announced today that the Michigan Association of Police, which has 21 years of representing Michigan Police Officers and serving our communities, has enrolled in Quicken Loans/Rock Financial Home Loan Benefit Program. Other companies in the program include: AT&T, Google, Intuit, Oracle, and Qualcomm.
Members of the Association will receive discounts on closing costs and learn more about the home buying process via onsite seminars and web seminars. Each company or association is assigned a team of mortgage professionals who offer assistance with mortgage needs, whether it’s to purchase a home, refinance an existing mortgage, or take out a home equity loan.
“They protect Michigan residents, and now Quicken Loans/Rock Financial is giving back to the Michigan Association of Police with great benefits of the Home Loan Benefit Program,” said David Hall, Executive Vice President, Rock Financial, a Quicken Loans company. “At no cost to the Association or its members, they will have access to home buying experts and advice.”
The program is fully managed by Quicken Loans/Rock Financial, which closes loans in all 50 states.
“I am looking forward to working with a great organization like Quicken Loans/Rock Financial to help further educate our members. It is truly a win-win situation!” said Ron Palmquist, labor relations specialist, Michigan Association of Police.
There is a rising trend in programs of this type, as companies and associations work to meet the challenge of providing their employees with a robust benefits package, while at the same time managing costs. Many are turning to innovative benefits programs that provide their employees real value, but at no additional cost to the company.
Only six percent of employers offered mortgage assistance programs to their employees in 2000, according to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), but that percentage has since doubled. With housing costs and mortgage rates on the rise, mortgage assistance programs and home financing education figure to remain important to employees.
